The ‘H’ of Christmas stands for High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
A brilliant way to improve your fitness and blast your wobbly bits!
Basically you work ‘full pelt’ for a short burst eg 20 seconds then rest for around 10 seconds.
Explosive powerful exercises like squat jumps, high knees, burpees(yuk!), tuck jumps.
This will get your heart rate rocketing and your heart and lungs have to cope with the demand.
You will feel out of breath- which is normal. Tired- again normal, sweaty- yes that’s good.
Here’s the best bit- choose 8 exercises, keep doing 20secs/10 secs rest for around 20 minutes.
Try to do 20 (HIIT) minutes 3-5 times a week and I can guarantee you will see and feel the benefits in less than 6 weeks.
Funky Fit mix is where I teach HIIT exercises. I also show options for anyone who can’t jump( for whatever reason) and I promise there’s no burpees!
